When It’s Time to Let Go

When hope is a burden that requires you to struggle and strive. It’s time to let go.
When hope demands obsessive thoughts towards the what ifs, why nots, and how comes. It’s time to let go.
When hope will only be satisfied when you get what you want, the way you want it, and how you want it. It’s time to let go.
Hope holds us. We don’t hold it.
When hope is an anchor that settles into rest. It’s time to release tight fisted grip. And trust.
When hope invites you into Heaven’s perspective despite unanswered questions. It’s time to surrender. And trust.
When hope strengthens your soul with reminders of God’s kind intentions towards you. It’s time to receive. And trust
True hope is not based in limited understanding nor in determined self will.
Hope from God is sure footing that defies hopelessness. It stands up to lies of going under. It announces to self and awful circumstances that, no matter what, you will be okay. You are going to make it to the other side. Victorious. Blessed. And fixed firmly in the heart of God.
Hope holds us. We don’t hold it.
Underneath are the everlasting arms. Holding. Carrying. Helping.
May the hope that comes from God anchor your soul with firm security as you hold fast to the One Who has ahold of you.
“Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will not be shaken.” Psalm 62:5-6 NIV
“God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged. We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain,” Hebrews 6:18-19
“The eternal God is your dwelling place and underneath are the everlasting arms.” Deuteronomy 33:27
